Bill and I became friends when Adam and my son Tom started playing baseball together back when they were in the fourth grade. Bill and I coached together for many years while the boys played ball together.

At first, I was intimidated by Bill, but I soon learned he was a real teddy bear. He was smart, funny, and devoted to his family, and to his friends.

My family and I will dearly miss him.

He had an old pioneer stereo receiver with speakers that he didn't want. This was before Micaela was born. I can't remember if he gave it to me for free or very very cheap. Either way I remember it was a very very kind gesture & a deal I couldn't pass up. That stereo & the speakers are still in my garage today entertaining me whenever I'm out there doing anything. More than 20 years later. There's a little more dirt & a few more scratches, but still works everyday. Thank you Bill & R.I.P.
