William Jay Pote, of Rochester Hills, Michigan, passed away on February 16th, 2021 at the age of 76. He was born in Pontiac, Michigan on January 31st, 1945. Jay was a graduate of Avondale High School. He married his beloved wife Diane Pote (nee Coleman) on April 2nd, 1977. He was a proud member of the National Guard and honorably served his country. Jay was a plumber with Local 98. He loved hunting, antiques, old cars, Westerns, and the Red Wings.

He is survived by his wife Diane; children Joy Pote, Ryan (Jennifer) Pote, Jason (Cyndee) Pote, and Gena (Steve) Clark; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings Jim (Brenda) Pote, Jack (Jan) Pote, and Jill Lanni. He is predeceased by his parents Craig and Vivian Pote and his brother Craig (Jan) Pote.

A funeral visitation will be held on Saturday March 13th, at Rochester Church of Christ from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM with a funeral being held at 11:30 AM.
