

Passed away July 1, 2011 after a long illness. She was 84. She was born November 6, 1926 to John and Lillis Cripe near Chinook, Montana and later moved to Tacoma and graduated from Stadium High School then attended WSC (Washington State University today). Mom worked for the Tacoma Chamber of Commerce going on to General Services Administration in Auburn.
She advanced to head secretary to the Regional Director until her retirement. She is preceded in death by brothers Robert and Roy Cripe and by grandson Brian Pounder. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, James L. Pounder, sons; Gary (Michelle) Pounder, Donald (Marybeth) Pounder, grandsons: Christopher, Daniel and Andrew, sister Marie Hanning, brother; George (Faye) Cripe.
Mom enjoyed traveling, gardening, and golf where she had 5 holes-in-one and won a number of tournaments at Riviera Country Club on Anderson Island. She was a devoted wife and a wonderfully caring mother and grandma.
She will be greatly missed.
