Donald Clarence Winchell

Donald C. Winchell of Auburn, WA, passed away Thursday, May 26th at the age of 84. Don was born in Vivian, South Dakota and worked on his father's farm until he went into the Army in 1946. In 1948 - 1952, he was enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He was married to Betty Menter from 1949 to 2003. She passed away in November of 2003. They had five children, Mona of Spanaway, Washington, Larry of Utah, Dennis of Oregon, Patty and Sue of Auburn, Washington. Nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. He has one surviving brother, Wayne Winchell of Rapid City, South Dakota. Viewing will be held Wednesday, June 1st, from 12:00pm to 5:00pm and Thursday morning, June 2nd, from 8:30am to 10:00am. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, June 2nd, at 11:00am at Price-Helton Funeral Home with burial to follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Auburn, WA.
