

Herman Alfred English, born February 15, 1920 in Culbertson, Montana and passed away April 3, 2012 in Auburn, Washington. He lived in Yakima from 1921 to 1930 then to Algona, Washington from 1930 to 1938. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1938 and returned in 1941, and married the girl next door Nadine O’Brien in November 1941. Herman was President of the Auburn Eagles #2298 F.O.E. from 1962 to 1963. He was manager part time and full time for 16 years at the Auburn Eagles, and a 50 year member of the Electrician Local 46 IBEW. Herman is survived by his wife of 71 years; Nadine, daughters; Vickie Bahr of Bonney Lake, Patti Jones of Graham, preceded in death by his son -in- law Ralph Jones, Herman is also preceded in death by his sister; Hazel Schlagel of Yakima, and his 3 brothers; Irvin, Leslie, and Floyd. He is survived by 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 3 nieces, and 7 nephews. A Memorial Service will be held, 1:00 PM, Thursday April 12, 2012 at Price-Helton Funeral Home, 702 Auburn Way N.
