Being a friend of Pastor John's brought my  parents into a greater knowledge about God and gave our family  a church home. This introduced us to closeness to  his sweet family, and to the wonderful youth and kids camps, which changed us forever. We were honored to love and care for 4 visiting foreign missionaries there for several years, who made a huge impact on us and who became known worldwide.  We've always felt a true love and gratitude for our friendship with John, Muriel, and their 3  children. My parents have since gone to be with Jesus and have been having good fellowship with John and Muriel there. God bless and keep all of their relatives, and may we bring God much glory in these last days.

As a child in the mid 1960s our family and extended family began to commute to Auburn Community Chapel 3 times a week. My parents and I were fairly young converts and we spent many good times of sweet fellowship and personalized teaching with John and Muriel, and fun times with their children. They had the gifts of love, hospitality, humility, encouragement, words of wisdom, and proved to be trusted friends. I married and moved away but hoped I'd see them again. They are very dear friends who I'll see again when I find my parents in Heaven.

Pastor John I just learned of your passing... You were the one person who solididfied my faith when I attended Bible Chapel 1983-1987.  I was married the first time by Pastor John, I accepted Jesus, and was baptized by Pastor John.  He even lent my first husband and I $400 once from his personal account...I was amazed that he would do that and made sure that every penny was repaid.  I attended his Bible College classes - he taught me so much!  The song by Ray Boltz has always come to mind whenever I thought of Pastor John... Thank you for giving to the Lord, I am a life that changed, thank you for giving to the Lord, I am so glad you gave... I have thought of you often, and Muriel, and Ryan.  You all mad such a huge impact on my life...THANK YOU - when I get to Heaven I will thank you in person with a big hug! It is because of you, that I stand bold in the Word and help others today.

Pastor Egerdahl, you played a very big part in my life, although I'm sure you did not know it. I was married in your lovely Chapel on R St. in 1968 and I was  also very much blessed to say that I made Jesus Christ the Lord of my life on Dec. 14th, 1974 following your service and subsequent call to the alter. I was baptized that evening. I have never forgotten this moment or you. Although I can't thank you here and now, I know that one day I will be able to thank you later. Thank you for your answer to His call and for sharing the Gospel with untold thousands over the years. It truly made a difference. My sincere condolensces to the family during this time of loss.

The only person on earth that i trusted. If not for Pastor John I don't know how i could have trusted anyone else with the greatest gift of truth telling than him. I think about him and miss him dearly. No words can express the affect he had on my life. Thank you Pastor John.

Pastor John - Forever in our hearts as an exceptional teacher of God's Word. What joy there must have been at the arrival in heaven of this servant of the Lord Jesus Christ!

John Egerdahl will be remembered as an inspiration to pastors in the NW. We remember his friendly smile as we would gather for our regional fellowship meetings.

Words can not express the impact John Egerdahl has had in my life. He led my wifê and I, and our children to the Lord. He married us. He led by example and was a true beacon for the Lord.
