To the Woods family,
I'm another person you don't know but as my sister Ruth Walton-Von Giese said, I grew up with Larry but I was closer in age to his sister Deanna.  I have very fond memories of driving to Twin Lakes with Larry to go fishing with him and his family.  In fact, your grandparents did me the honor of attending our wedding in Everett almost 30 years ago.  Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.  Sincerely,

To the Woods Family... I know you don't know me, but both your Dad and Mom and myself all grew up together at Ft. Monroe, Va.  We spent four wonderful years there "growing up" .  My folks were very close to your grandparents for many years.  Lots of fishing!  I have so many happy memories of both Janet and Larry.  Please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss.

Larry became a good friend, my golfing buddy, and we shared a common bond, the loss of our spouses.  He was a true gentleman with a great sense of humor and I will miss him greatly. I will never forget how he has changed my life and helped me become the person I am today. I was so sad to hear the news. Larry and I crossed paths about 8 years ago or so, while working at Majestic in Everett, WA. Larry was a boss but also a mentor and I think back fondly on that time. Even after I left, Larry was always kind enough to help out with references and recommendation letters. I am truly happy I had the opportunity to learn from Larry, but also to enjoy his funny and clever personality. Thank you Larry, you will be missed.

So shocked and saddened to hear this news. I left Zee about 11 years ago, and still tell people that Larry was The Best Boss Ever...and I've had so many bosses over the years.  Incredibly patient, curious and inquisitive, but mostly encouraging, Larry was delightful to work for and with.  Larry was the first person I asked for a reference for the career I have now...and I know he had a hand in helping me get through the grueling hiring process with his reply. I'll always be thankful...and will miss him.

It has been my distinct pleasure to have known you, Larry, albeit via phone and email.  You will be missed.  Vaya con Dios Larry Woods.

Larry will be sorely missed.  I have many fond memories of great fun, quick wit and friendship with him.  He was a friend to myself and to Ferguson.

Lar, words cannot explain how important you were in my life.  You showed me so much on what it meant to be a good person, a family man and a great Dad. You always treated me like family and for that I will always be greatful.  Tell Jan hi for us and I miss and love you both.

Still don't believe you're really gone..I secretly think you're hanging out golfing somewhere in the sun laughing at all of us. The three years I knew you were way too short. I'm glad we got that time at all and wish I could have known Jan to learn how you raised such good kids. Spence is the best man I've ever known and I know he attributes that to how he was raised. This world lost a great man the day Larry died. he was a wonderful person and a great boss. He always listened, encouraged me to spread my wings and always had a positive outlook. Broke my heart when I heard the news. I have lots of great memories of the 5 years I worked with Larry at Majestic Glove.

It seems way to short to be true. A great man is gone however will remain in so many hearts and lives with families like mine for an eternity. I considered Larry and Janet as an immediate second family, almost like parents. Looking back on the values the Woods bestowed on so many people is uncommon and appreciated. They raised 3 wonderful children that are immensely better people due to the love, support, and guidance of you both. Larry (as well as Janet) were people I looked to for “actual” advice. Larry was not the sympathetic type, more less said things as they were, no sugar coating needed. I will always remember him as a loving, caring, no loss for words person as he was/is. I love you Larry and know you are home with Jan which makes this a little easier to accept. Do know that you both had an immense influence in numerous lives and that you left this world better than it was when you arrived. God bless and I can never thank you enough for the blessings your family has given me.

I remember Larry coaching baseball with you and Ryan playing your hearts out every game. He was a great father, and I always enjoyed being around him because he enjoyed life and had fun in everything he did. His sense of humor was always present and when things got a little tense, he woud break the tension with a joke or unexpected comment.
I remember seeing you guys down in Palm Springs on the golf course one time and thinking what a great family you had.
Time passes by and things change, but good memories go on forever!

Larry, for years we worked together, carpooled together and on Friday nights the four of us would drink together.  Those were some of the best times of my life.  You taught me so much and with your guidance, I grew both personally and professionally.  You were my mentor, my confidante and my very best friend. Our friendship meant the world to me and for that I will be forever grateful.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Larry's family.  We will miss our "go to" guy every day and in particular miss his sense of humor.

Larry will surely be missed by everyone here at Empire Safety & Supply. Larry took care of our company's account and was ever so helpful in making our jobs much easier with his knowledge and friendly advice. We miss you Lar!  I can't put into words the sorrow I feel for Spence, Nat and Dave.  Lar was an amazing man and I feel blessed to have so many fond memories of him. Lar, it seems like yesterday that we were neighbors in Twin Lakes and you were coaching me in Little League.  I carry with me many fond memories of you, and of the times spent with your family.  Your memory will always live on through those of us that have had the pleasure of knowing you.

Larry will be missed by both our customers and his friends at work. He was a great person. For many people he was the face of Majestic. 
He would answer the phone: "High this is Lar" plays through my head, other people in the office told me about his hatred for caps on pens, how he would throw them away or before sitting down in his chair he would pull up his legs on his pants. Larry we miss you.

My deepest condolences. Larry wasn't just my co-worker he was a very good friend. I cared for him like a second father. He will be deeply missed.
