

Lloyd died yesterday- He was born in Washington, PA. May 15, 1924 in the old Washington Hospital and grew up in Canonsburg, PA. He was the son of Mary and Winnet H. Kelley. He lived and worked in the Washington area until 1978 when he took a job with the Boeing Aircraft Company, until his retirement in 1990.
On January 1, 1944 he married Ethel M. Toland, the daughter of Anna Marie and Walter Clinton Toland of Houston, PA. They had five children- Randolph Lee, Robert Lloyd (who died at the age of two from Leukemia in 1950), Michael Douglas, Patricia Eileen, and Jeffrey Wayne Kelley, sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Lloyd became a machinist and moldmaker at Kelley Industries in Eighty Four, PA. He was with the company for 20 years, then worked in the R.C.A. plant until it closed. Lloyd then worked for the Washington Machine and Tool Company for eight years, then left for the Boeing company.
He volunteered at the Museum of Flight in Seattle, and after retirement he obtained his license in amateur radio. He also joined the senior softball team and played many years.
He and his wife Ethel joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1947. He was active in the Family History Center of the Church.
Lloyd will be buried in the Washington Cemetery in Washington, PA under the William G. Neal Funeral Home.
