Wanda Louise Frank (nee Marchbanks), 82, of Federal Way, WA passed away on Oct. 13, 2013. Formerly of Lemay, MO, Wanda was born on Nov.23, 1930 in St. Louis, MO to Charlie and Alma (Tate) Marchbanks. Mom is survived by her sister Dorothy (Bob) Scott and brother Paul (Sharon) Marchbanks; her daughter Sandy (Art) Conklin and Michele Thompson, “adopted daughter” Claudia (Gerald) Spiniolas; grandchildren, AJ (Eva) Conklin, Jayna Conklin, Desiree Denise Meadows, DJ, Kyle and Kelsie Thompson and Zac (Christina) Corse; great grandchildren, Paiton Denise Conklin, Ruby Jeanne-Christine Conklin, her namesake Madeline Louise Conklin and Sofia Small; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was especially close to Betty (Dave) Mayfield, Helen Beczkala and Rosie Collins. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Erwin J. Frank, daughter Robin (Phil) Corse and loved friend Carol Marval. Wanda will be cremated and inurned with Dad at Jefferson Barracks at a later date. Donations can be made in her memory to the American Heart Association. Mom NEVER met a stranger. No matter where she went, whether it was the grocery store, gas station, hospital, restaurant or doctor’s office, she made everyone feel as if she had known them forever. She was a great hugger and gave freely of herself, including the shirt off her back. She had a great sense of humor, with a great laugh, LOVED dancing, telling jokes, singing songs, going to the Casino and drinking Corona. Mom’s laughter, her “wicked” sense of humor and her love of life and family will be sorely missed by ALL who had the pleasure of knowing her. Mom was one of a kind! Our loss and Heaven's gain!
