Sister Adrienne Pierre was born in Port de Paix, Haiti, on September 26, 1944, to Mr. Dervil Auguste and Alcina Noel Auguste, both deceased. She was a hard worker and a loving wife and mother. Adrienne came to America in 1975, when she was 31 years old in search of a better economic life.
Adrienne was blessed with her two daughters, Yolene Milhomme and Blondine Vancol, who live in Winter Haven. She was also blessed with six grandchildren: Andy Jean Milhomme, Andral Junior Milhomme Jr, Mathew Vancol, Renel Junior Vancol, Marjorie Vancol, Yoldine Deidre Vancol. And Eight great-grandchildren, Sanjay Mikel Kristopher Vancol, Giovani Kendrick Sabastien Vancol, Jayden Andral Milhomme, Anijah Linn Milhomme, Jeremiah Jean Milhomme, Alexia Dream Milhomme, Asa Jacob Milhomme, Caden Ardony Milhomme.
Sister Adrienne was a very spiritual person. She raised her children to love God. Adrienne had been very much involved in her church activities. She would organize parties for the brothers and sisters and their children upon request. She was a gifted event planner; she did not need much money to have a party.
she was a very caring human being. She had always found a way to share her time and whatever she can afford with others, no matter how big or small. When any friends or a family member needed her assistance, she would do whatever it takes to come and provide the necessary care that she can give.
As she was getting ready to leave this world to meet her God, something very special had happened while she was at the hospice house. She passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020, at approximately 5:00 p.m. While her daughters were at her bedside mourning, one of the nurses who used to take care of her walked into the room to pay her respect. She asked, "where is her husband who came every morning and night to sing and pray for her"? She added, "He has such a calm and beautiful voice that gave me chills whenever he came and started singing for her." One of the daughters replied, her husband died years ago. The Nurse then said, "no, that's not possible because he came every day, twice a day to sing and pray for her before he goes to work and, he would come back after work to sing and pray." He was dressed on his work uniform, she said.
The daughters could not believe their ears and asked the Nurse, are you sure you are talking about this patient? The Nurse replied, "Yes, I saw him when he cames in the morning, and when he returned at night. "He was a black older gentleman." She continued to say, "I never heard someone sings so beautifully. He had such an excellent voice; it gives me goosebumps." This testimony is very special because Adrienne was new in the area, and she did not know anyone besides her immediate family members.
The only conclusion that we could draw is that she was never alone. It was evident that her God was with her all the time during her final hours. She was blessed, and now she is in God's hands. Glory to the lord!
