Alton Gerald Hunter Sr., 79, of Bartow, FL passed away on February 5, 2016 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Lakeland, FL. He served his country in the Naval Reserve, was a former police officer with Bartow and Winter Haven, FL, and retired as Vice President of Clay-Hyder Trucking Lines of Com Car Industries, Auburndale, FL.
He leaves his wife, Maxine Hunter, of Bartow, FL, two sons, Ronald D. Hunter (Tammy), Bartow, FL, and Alton Gerald Hunter Jr. (Shirley), of Auburndale, FL, and one Grandson, CPL Justin D. Hunter, U.S.M.C.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at 10 am at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home in Auburndale, FL.
