Anthony (Tony) E. Houvardas, age 70, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in Edgewater, Florida. He was born September 12, 1955, in Detroit, Michigan. He is survived by his loving wife, Raquel, daughter Nina and her husband George Constantinou, granddaughter Sofia; and son Niklis Houvardas. He is also survived by his brothers Paul (Simone), Trifon (Irene) and many nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Emmanuel and Peppina Houvardas.
He was a 1973 graduate of Bartow High School and attended the University of South Florida. A passionate Restauranteur with strong work ethic, love of cooking and feeding his loved ones.
Tony had a huge heart and helped many people throughout his life. He was sentimental and family oriented, and valued his cultural and religious traditions.
Tony had a sense of humor that could light up a room. In his younger years, he would mesmerize the room with his Greek dancing. He also enjoyed fishing and a good Duke basketball game.
