Lake Alfred- Bessie Lee Smith, age 88, passed away February 26, 2014 due to sepsis. She was born April 3, 1925 in Gordon, AL the daughter of Alton and Tullie Poole Prevatt. She was a homemaker and member of the Central Assembly of God in Auburndale.
In addition to her parents, Bessie was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Cecil Smith. She is survived by her son Chris Smith and his wife Diane, daughter: Jackie Sutton, sisters: Sarah Ingram, Beatrice Holmes and Veleria Capps, grandchildren: Leroy, Robert, Cathy, Matthew, Sean, Alex, Kristy, Tony, and as well as 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation is Sunday, March 2nd from 2-4pm with funeral services Monday, March 3, 2014 at 11:00 am, both at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, Auburndale, FL.
