Billie Clayton Burkhart
June 15, 1932 – October 20, 2019
Billie Clayton "Cowboy" Burkhart, 87, passed away on October 20, 2019 in Orlando, Florida. He was born on June 15, 1932 in Middletown, Ohio. Billie was a Veteran in United States Air Force from 1949 to 1953 then spent the next 40 years working in the agriculture industry and finally retiring from Ingram's Grove Service.
Mr. Burkhart was preceded by his wife of 27 years, Edna G. "Patsy" Burkhart and his infant great-granddaughter Kaye Burkhart.
He is survived by his son; Eric Clayton (Libby) Burkhart of Clover, SC., grandchildren Clayton Davis (Tiffany) Burkhart of Eauclaire, WI., and Sarah Gayle (Jason) Huffstetler of Clover, SC., great-grandchildren Parker and Anna Huffstetler and Noble Burkhart. Billie also leaves behind a dear friend and companion for the last 11years, Helen Cheeseburough.
He enjoyed agriculture, loved being outside, and finding activities to keep busy. He was great with his hands, kindhearted, but didn't mind reading you your rights. Playing in his garden and going fishing weekly was some of his favorite things to keep him active. He has touched so may lives and will dearly missed.
A visitation will be held at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home in Auburndale, Florida on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm with a service to begin at 2:00pm. Following the funeral there will be a graveside service set to take place at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens.
