Blanche L Bowen. 86, of Lake Alfred, FL, passed away on December 30, 2021 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale, FL. She was born on March 23, 1935 in Williamson, WV and moved to this area 54 years ago from Columbus, Ohio. She was retired as Director of Admissions at Winter Haven Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church Lake Alfred and a volunteer at Good Shepherd Hospice.
Blanche was preceded in death by her husband Donald Bowen and son Donald Bowen Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Bowen of Winter Haven, FL and Patricia Bowen Ballard of Lake Alfred, FL, daughter-in-law, Tammy Bowen of Lake Alfred, FL, her grandchildren; Jason Bowen (Katie) of Leesburg, VA, Ethan Bowen of Lake Alfred, FL, Timothy Bowen of New York, NY, Michelle Goode of Winchester, VA, Renae Floyd of Lakeland, FL, and Rachel Bowen of Lake Alfred, FL, five great grandchildren, and many loved nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January, 7th at 11 am at First Baptist Lake Alfred. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice.
