Bonnie L Pennybacker

Ms. Bonnie Pennybacker aka Mom & Munner took the hand of Jesus and walked into eternity on February 6, just 26 days shy of her 89th birthday. She is survived by her children, Carolyn Oswalt (BJ), Michael Webb Peggy Duncan (Tammy), and McCulla Pennybacker (Rhonda), Teresa Pennybacker (daughter in law) and her sister Donna Martinez (Oscar), lots of grandchildren and great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and those who just called her Munner because they loved her so. She will truly be missed.

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Mom lived in many different places but she had a great gift of making anywhere she lived a home. She raised her family waitressing, then in 1986 began to work in childcare. She went back to school receiving her AA & AS in Early Childhood Education. She was the Assistant Director at Safe and Sound Child Care Center for 16 years and then worked for Polk Schools as a Pre-K teacher, then finished her career at the KidCare After School Program. Hard work did not phase her and she was always packed and ready when invited to go to the beach or out of town. She faithfully attended Ridge Community Church in Dundee.

Mom stayed extremely busy up until her battle with cancer. However she would tell you the most important thing in her life was her faith in our LORD JESUS CHRIST. Even in this last toughest battle she ever faced, she never questioned her faith. Always reminding others that God was going to work it all out. And HE did on February 6th, healing her body and taking her home.

Mom was Preceded in Death by her parents Aubrey and Grace Reedy, two of her children, Jackie Lee and Matthew Pennybacker and many family and friends.

She leaves a great legacy of love for the Lord and family.

Bonnie will be laid to rest on March 4, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Eagle Lake Church of Christ Cemetery.
