Carroll E. DeLoach, born September 16, 1929, in Clyo, GA. where he lived until the age of 16 when he moved to Hillsborough County with his family. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. After serving his country he continued his education at the University of Florida earning a degree agricultural engineering.
Carroll is survived by 4 children; Shari (Phil), Michelle (George), Steve (deceased), Ron and Cindy. He has 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
He was a Farm Bureau Agent for nearly 30 years before retiring to start DeLoach Nursery. He had a true love of plants. present day DeLoach Nursery is run by his daughter Shari DeLoach Jewell and Perry Whiting.
Carroll loved North Carolina when purchased property on the Nantahala River. To this day the property remains in the family and is enjoyed by all. This is where he would learn to white water raft, canoe, and kayak at which he became very proficient. Later, he joined the Lakeland Social Singles where he meet his life partner, Susan Lee. They have enjoyed dancing and traveling together. Carroll loved the outdoors, the beauty, the opportunities and peace. He was a man of integrity, grit, a strong mind of numbers, problem solving and a love of family and friends.
Visitation Service will be held Sunday October 13 between 1pm and 2pm at the Ott-Laughlin Auburndale Chapel. Funeral Services will follow at 2pm and services after at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens.
