

Charlie Siegfried Wilson, 70, passed away on September 8, 2026. Born March 10, 1956, Charlie was a graduate of Lakeland Senior High School. Shortly after graduation, he began what would become a more than four-decade career with CSX Railroad, where he was known as an exceptionally hard worker and a man who always looked out for his coworkers.
Charlie married Elizabeth “Beth” Crews Wilson on July 4, 1996. Family and friends were at the center of his life. He enjoyed fishing, boating, building things, throwing a cast net, working on go-karts, playing pool, bowling, cooking a good steak, and entertaining those he loved. A champion bowler and avid pool player, Charlie was remembered as the kind of man who would literally give the shirt off his back to someone in need.
Charlie is survived by his wife, Beth; his daughters, Brittanie Anne Brunelle and Ashlee Brunelle; his son, Bryan Wilson; his grandchildren, Lincoln Lynn, Klara and Isaac Wilson, Austin Eisenhour, Bentlee Brunelle, Eli Brunelle, and Kai Blankenship; his brothers, Gerry Wilson and Leon Wilson; his sister, Doris Wilson; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Kenneth, Cody, Mark, Kevin, Benjamin, Angela, Kelly, Lauren, and Sarah.
He was preceded in death by his son, Brandon Robert Brunelle; his parents, Ollie and Willard Wilson; his brother, Jimmy Wilson; and his in-laws, Juan K. Gentry and Dewitt Ken “Red” Crews.
Charlie was affiliated with Carpenters Home Church Without Walls in Lakeland. His family will remember him most for his tremendous work ethic, generous heart, love of family, and willingness to help anyone in need. His legacy will live on through the family and friends whose lives he touched.
Visitation will be held at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, 2198 K-Ville Ave, Auburndale, FL 33823, US, on September 19, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
