David Kingman Henderson Jr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce David Kingman Henderson Jr. was called to his eternal home on January 20, 2025. Dave attended St Leo's college and the University of Syracuse New York earning his bachelor's degree. Dave proudly served his country for 22 years in the United States Air Force as well as 20 years with Civil Service.

He enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing Cribbage, cards and Farkle. He had a love for 1962 Corvettes, boating, camping, ship cruising and visiting Panama City Beach, Florida. Dave also enjoyed reading books, watching football, especially, the Alabama Crimson Tide football team and cheering on the Tampa Bay Lightening hockey team.

Dave truly enjoyed serving as a deacon in his church, helping build a church in Guatemala with his son and was thrilled to have been baptized in the Jordan River in Israel, as he had a great love for Jesus.

He is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Henderson, daughter, Kari Barta, son-in-law Brad Barta, his son, David M Henderson, and daughter-in law Pamela Henderson, Sisters Robin Peters, Judy Arruda, Jane Balfour, brother Paul Henderson, grandchildren Kristen Barta and Britney Harner, great grandchildren Skyler Snow and Reese Harner. David was preceded in death by his daughter Lori Henderson along with brothers Richard, Robert, Peter and Mike Henderson.

A full honors military funeral service will be held at the Florida National cemetery in Bushnell, Florida on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 11am.
