Born in Providence, he was the son of the late James V. and Filomena (Delfarno) Coccia. He was husband of the late Marie A. (Delicio) Coccia for over 50 years; she was the love of his life.
His final wish was to move to Florida, and he finally made it there and enjoyed his last week happy around his family in the sunshine.
He leaves behind his five children, Domenic Coccia, Jr. and fiancé Alison Bruck, Dino Coccia, Deena Hammond and her husband Greg, Robert “Bobby” Folgo and Bryan Folgo. He also leaves his brother James Coccia and wife Roberta and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Mary Bianco and her husband Frank, brother Joseph “Sonny” Coccia, daughter-in-law Tracy Folgo and niece Karen Bernardo.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Domenic’s name.
