He served in the United States Navy for four years and later retired from Florida Power. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and lobstering in the Keys.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 48 years, Maxine Loftin, brother Ralph Loftin of Ohio, daughter Patricia Caplan of Dundee, step-daughter Sonja Korzep of Lake Wales, and step-son Russell Brown of Dallas, eight grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Audis (Bill) and Beulah Loftin, siblings Maxine Knapp and Albert Loftin, and step-daughter Leslie Brown.
Visitation is being held on Wednesday, September 18, from 6-8 p.m. and graveside service on Thursday, September 19 at 10:30 a.m
