Earl Raymond McCormick, age 93, of Haines City, FL passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017. He was born October 21, 1923 in Oneida, NY the son of George McCormick and Myrtle Bowman McCormick. Earl joined the United States Marine Corp in 1942 following High School graduation. After serving in the South Pacific and Cherry Point, NC, he was discharged in 1946. On November 23, 1946 he married Marie Theresa Carrol in Oneida, NY.
Earl worked for Oneida Unlimited for 6 years. He also was a Supply Clerk for Pan American Airlines. He and Marie moved to Melbourne, FL in 1961. After twenty-five years at Cape Kennedy, he and Marie moved to Lakeland, FL where he enjoyed square dancing, bowling and golfing
In addition to his parents, Earl was pre-deceased by his wife Carol Theresa Carroll McCormick 1n 1999, three brothers and two sisters. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Friday, April 7, 2017 from 2 pm till 3 pm with funeral services at 3:00 pm, both at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, Auburndale, FL. Burial will follow in Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens, Auburndale, FL.
