He enjoyed gardening, especially caring for his orchids, and enjoyed listening to gospel music, especially the Gaither Vocal Band. He was also a wonderful cook and enjoyed sharing good food with family. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Eagle Lake.
Edgar is survived by his daughter Shannon Martin, sister Sandra Gunn, nephew Wade Gunn, and sister in law Terri Pipin. He was preceded in death by his parents Isaac and Lucille Martin, wife Kathy Martin, brothers Donald Martin, and Vernon Martin, as well as sister Mary Lou Wetzel, nience Bonnie Meisenheimer, and brother in law, Bob Wetzel.
Visitation will be held at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, 2198 K-Ville Ave, Auburndale, FL 33823, US, on September 26, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location at 10:00 am. Edgar will be laid to rest at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens.
