Elvia Conner, 85, of Lakeland, Florida passed away on May 25, 2018. She was born on August 28, 1932 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Elvia traveled the world with her late husband, Major Virgil J. Conner U.S. Airforce Retired. They traveled from Mississippi to Japan, Maine, Puerto Rico, Oklahoma, and Nebraska before retiring in Lakeland, Florida in 1971. She worked in Quality Control for Kraft Foods and was the past owner of C.C.C. Ceramics. Elvia loved cooking, sewing, and helping her family. She was affectionately known as the crazy cat lady.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and husband. She is survived by her sons, Robert Conner (Joanna) and Scott Conner (Patty), sister in law, Patty Conner, grandchildren; Lisa Conner, Ursula Conner Colter, Mike Conner, Stefanie Giebel, Joanie Crepeau, sixteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, six cats, four dogs, and many other loving family members and friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 29, from 12-1 p.m. with a funeral service following at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice or the S.P.C.A.
