Mom was a devoted, wife and mother. Wife to James Nix who passed away in 2019 and mother to Catherine Mae Nix and Shirley Ann Maynard, sister to, Al, Marge, Ron, Mary, Junior, and Bob. Also preceded in death by her parents, Roberta and Guffy Finley.
She was also a loving grandmother to Charli Maynard, Melissa ( deceased ) and Michael Nix. Emma was a devoted church member of Faith Baptist Church.
Emma was very talented at sewing. She would make her own quilts and she was excellent at crocheting. She crocheted several afghans and quilts for people in the church and for people that her daughter's know. Her most recent accomplishment was she made a small child size quilt made of T-shirts, most beautiful thing I've ever seen.
She also crocheted the American flag.
A visitation for Emma will be held on Friday, July 11th from 6:00-8:00 PM at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, 2198 K-Ville Ave, Auburndale, Florida 33823 with a funeral service taking place Saturday, July 12th at 11:00 AM.
