Glenda was the beloved wife of Charles F. Husted, with whom she shared a loving marriage. Together they built a home centered on faith, family, and raising three remarkable sons.
A graduate of Auburndale High School, Glenda later earned her Associate's degree from Everest College, demonstrating her lifelong commitment to learning. She worked at Heart of Florida Hospital, where she was known for her caring nature and strong work ethic.
Outside of work, Glenda found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved needlepoint, crocheting, and spending time with word puzzles. Her creativity, patience, and gentle spirit were reflected in everything she made and in the love she shared with those around her.
Glenda is survived by her sons, Anthony David Ezell (Deborah) of Lakeland, Florida, Fred David Martin (Tanya) of Lakeland, Florida, and Richard Edward Spiker of Lakeland, Florida; her niece, Tammy Wilson (Tim) of Bainbridge, Georgia; and several cherished grandchildren, along with many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F Husted, parents, Mattie Pearl (Edwards) Wilson and L.E. Wilson; her brother, William David Wilson; and her sister, Kathy Darlene Rigsby.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, August 7, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home & Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens. A short graveside service will immediately follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Good Shepherd Hospice in Glenda's memory.
Glenda's love for her family, her compassionate heart, and her gentle presence will be remembered always. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, kindness, and enduring love that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
