John had the biggest heart and was always willing to help someone in need. He valued family, friends, and fishing, more than anything else.
He worked for Winn-Dixie for many years as a butcher before moving up to management prior to retirement. He then took another job doing maintenance for Polk County Schools for another 25 years.
John is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Freda Jennings; children, Sandy Dean (Steven), and James Jennings III (Arlyn); grandchildren, Christopher, Jesse, Shannon, and Chad; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Joleigh, Tate, Jesse, Jase, and Jonah; as well as siblings Mott and Pete.
A visitation for John will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, 2198 K Ville Ave, Auburndale, Florida 33823, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
John will be laid to rest at Auburndale Memorial Park , Auburndale, Florida.
