

Jerald moved to Florida 57 years ago. He was an entrepreneur and business owner for most of his life. When not working Jerald enjoyed fishing, traveling, trying new restaurants, frequently attended the auctions and loved classic cars. He was a partial lake ship investor and enjoyed his old fashion life style. Jerald was always known as the family comedian and would often "stir the pot" any chance he got.
Jerald is predeceased by his daughters Linda Pridemore and Geraldine Redden, mother Myrtle Cooper Spivey, father Raymond Cooper, sisters Martha Carver, Shelby Handley and Evelyn Fulkerson as well as his brothers Kyle Cooper and Jimmy Cooper. He is survived by his spouse Donna Boyd of Lake Wales, daughter Mary Jordan (Billy) of Valdosta, GA, daughter Lisa Cooper of St. Augustine, son Jerald Cooper Jr. of Lake Wales and son Casey Boyd of Lake Wales. Jerald also leaves behind his 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren along with a multitude of extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
A visitation will be held at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home in Auburndale on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 from 10:00am to 11:00am with a funeral service to begin at 11:00am. Following the funeral will be a graveside service at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens in Auburndale.
