Josephine Propps, 96, of Winter Haven, Florida passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on January 5, 2023. She was born in Red Jacket, West Virginia on June 4, 1926 and moved to this area 7 years ago from Columbus, Georgia. She was a homemaker. Josephine loved big, was strong willed and sassy, hardheaded, spunky, and full of life. She was described as beautiful and gorgeous. She loved to bake especially wedding cakes, bowling, camping, and drawing. Mostly she loved her family.
Josephine was preceded in death by her husband Carl E. Propps, parents, Joseph Cook and Clarsie May, children Charles Aldridge and Barbara Phillips, four brothers, two sisters, two grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild. She is survived by her children: Helen Denney of Odessa, Texas, Linda Bias (Larry) of Winter Haven, Florida, and Richard Aldridge (Marilyn) of Tacoma, Washington, eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January, 2023, from 1-2 pm, with a service following at 2 pm. Both at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home in Auburndale, Florida.
