Nancy Dianne Bluemke, age 68, of Lake Wales, FL passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018. She was born June 28, 1950 in Franklin, OH the daughter of Robert Finley Worley and Harriett Ann (Lisle) Worley. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Winter Haven, FL. Besides being a loving wife, mother and grandmother, Nancy was a farmer, CNA and paraprofessional in the school system.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandparents: William Worley and Allie Mae (Mitchell) Worley, Bishop Lisle Jr. and Mable (Strain) Lisle; son: James Bluemke, sister: Evelyn Krause and brother-in-law Emil Krause, brother-in-law: William Loock, and sister-in-law: Eileen Worley.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Gregory Lee Bluemke, children: Tracy Bluemke, Christopher Bluemke and wife Toni, Robert Bluemke and wife Kristin, grandchildren: Derek Bluemke (Rachel), Justin Curie, Kayla Walburn (Justin), Sophia Bluemke, Julia Bluemke, Emerson Bluemke and Elliot Bluemke.

A dedicated and loving wife, mother and friend to all, Nancy enjoyed spending time with friends and family to play games—in particular cards. While “cheating” was never proven, her kids and grandkids knew to watch any game closely. She loved to travel and shared many adventures with her family. Alaska, Hawaii and the Caribbean were destination favorites.

Nancy looked forward to the holidays as holidays—meant—family. Countless hours in the kitchen preparing meals brought together laughs, stories and the ongoing fight to make it to the big kids’ table. She often referred to items by calling them a thingamajig, doohickey, whatchamacallit or dumeaflatcher leaving grandkids scratching their heads as to what exactly the item was. While wordsmithing is accepted at grandma’s house, the kids found out that schools prefer to use actual words. As a child of God, she was a dedicated Christen and was committed to raising her family with good morals and values. She enjoyed daily devotions, fellowship and crossed off a “bucket list” item by visiting the Ark Encounter in Kentucky before she passed.

May the good Lord watch over you and give you peace.

Visitation is Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 2-3 pm with services at 3 pm, both at the Grace Lutheran Church, 327 Avenue C, SE, Winter Haven, FL 33880.

Playing euchre and baseball, learning how to make beef and noodles, and trying to figure out which doomaflocher you were talking about. Remembering your laugh, and knowing how much you loved your grand babies. You are so loved and so missed Nancy. The heavens just got a little brighter. Till we see each other again ❤️

Although we only knew Nancy for two years, she came to be a wonderful friend. Nancy was a sweet, kind and genuine person. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention that she loved our Sammy (the cat) and enjoyed taking care of him. We had a lot of fun at one another’s homes, dances and restaurants during our two-year friendship. Nancy was a beautiful soul who will be greatly missed, but we know that she is with her Father in Heaven.

You've left me with countless memories and I think I'm laughing hysterically in each one of them. You were one of the greatest people I've ever known and I'm so glad you aren't in pain anymore. I love and miss you immensely.

Grandma Nancy-we will miss you so so much! I loved the times we would share stories and laugh-especially when they were about Grandpa or Derek! :) My favorite time with you was last October at Justin and Kayla’s wedding. We had so much fun with you and it was cool to see you just be yourself! Thank you for the love and support you showed Derek and I in our marriage, and I can’t wait to see you in Heaven one day! I’m so thankful you are no longer in pain; although it’s hard not to have you here. You are so loved!!!
