Harold Richard Daughtry, age 69 went peacefully on Thursday January 24, 2019. Richard was born November 9, 1949 in Dothan, Alabama to Willa Dean Daughtry and John Milton Daughtry. Richard moved with his family when he was a small child to Alturas, Florida in the 1950's and he lived in the area his whole life.

Richard is survived by; daughter Kelli Jean Daughtry; and son Tim Daughtry; brother Donald Daughtry; grandson Matthew Crowley.

Harold was preceded in death by; father John Milton Daughtry and mother Willa Dean Daughtry; sister Connie Jean Daughtry and sister Rachael Monroe.

Richard was a great friend to everyone he knew and nobody was a stranger to him. He had a great passion for gardening and fishing. When Richard was younger he grew roses and could graft multiple colors onto the same rose plant. Later, in life he grew vegetable gardens and different plants of all varieties and also vegetables. Richard would go fishing when he needed to be at peace, relax, and be by himself.

A celebration of life for Richard will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, Aubrndale, Florida.

I knew Richard all my life we started school together, I have some great memories of him especially after buying my home within a block of Richard. Since then we spent a lot of time remembering days past I'll miss his laugh his jokes even when they weren't funny. Going to miss you Richard

Me and this man have many memories we lived across the street fri each other for 5 years and we became real close he would help me out and i would help him out . but i think the most of all the good times we had i gotta say he was my friend when i went through a divorce we woukd go out and play pool all night . i wanna say rest in peace Richard i miss you my friend till me meet again your in my heart every day love you old man

Enjoyed the year i knew him. He loved to eat. And all the cakes we made. Had beautiful garden and planted flowers around the house. Enjoy going to garage sells every Saturday. He want be by his self he'll see his family and they can walk down the pearlly streets of heaven

hey kelly i have known your dad since i was a little girl and he was a great man and may you find peace in knowing that your dad is not suffering and that he is with his back with his mother father and sister and i sure did love your father like a big brother.
