

Rickey proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. Following his military service, he dedicated over 30 years to the Lake Wales Police Department and later worked 10 years with the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
An active member of his community, Rickey was a longtime member of the VFW in Lake Wales. He enjoyed watching WWE and cheering for the Florida Gators and was also an active member for over 35 years in his Harley group. Rickey's warm personality was cherished by many, and his beloved dog, Cutie Pie, was never far from his side.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Elizabeth Woods; parents, Allen and Ovida; sister, Vickie Keen; and brother-in-law, Gary Silverman.
Rickey is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Tucker; son, Rickey “Ric” Allen Woods II (Christi); daughter, Dianna Hunt (Leslie); stepson, Eric Pelland (Wendy); stepdaughter, Amy Beascoechea (Steve); brothers, Tony Woods (Lori) and Brett Woods; 19 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and his dog, Cutie Pie.
Rickey will be remembered for his devotion to service, his love for family, and the joy he brought to those around him.
A memorial service will be held on August 2, 2025 at 11:00 AM at The Church on the Hill, 1111 Scenic Hwy, Dundee, FL 33838. He will later be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
