Robert W. Nelms, 75, Eagle Lake, Florida passed away on September 2, 2024. He was born on October 30, 1948. Robert married Clara Hughes on November 6, 1991. Robert loved his family and his church, singing with the church choir for over fifty years. He was a member of Village Church of God in Winter Haven.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Minnie Lee Nelms, and his sister Sandra Jenkiins. He is survived by wife, Clara Nelms, his son, John Nelms (Kathy Cannoy), grandsons: Gavin Cannoy, Jordyn Nelms, Wesley Nelms, Wyatt Nelms, and Colton Nelms, brothers, Dwight Nelms and Lee Nelms, and a brother in law, Billy Jack Hughes.
A visitation is being held on Saturday, September 14th, from 10 – 11 AM, with a funeral service following at 11 AM. Services are being held at Village Church of God in Winter Haven.
