Robert Murl Porterfield

Robert M. Porterfield, age 92, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at his home. He was born October 21, 1925, in Normalville, PA, the son of Elmer and Luarkey Porterfield. Bob was a US Navy WWII veteran who served in the S. Pacific. He was a member of Eagle Lake First Assembly of God. He worked as a mechanic and in construction.

In addition to his parents and siblings, Robert was preceded in death by his daughter, Tami.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Etta Porterfield; daughters, Carla Porterfield, Marsha Manier, Melodi Ross; sons, Robert Hensel, John Hensel, Ralph Hensel; 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

Visitation is Friday, June 8, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. with funeral services Saturday, June 9, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., both at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, Auburndale, FL.
