Lake Alfred- Russell A. Perkins, age 88, of Lake Alfred, FL passed away Friday, May 22, 2015. He was born April 3, 1927 in Home Township, Michigan the son of Floyd Norman Perkins and Flossie Mae Henry Perkins. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during WWII. He was a member of the American Legion Post 8, a life member of the VFW, and a member of the Moose Lodge 1028 of Winter Haven, FL. He was retired as an insurance agent with Prudential Insurance Company.
In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by his wife Natalie T. Perkins. He is survived by his daughter: Kimberly Perkins, granddaughter: Aimee Perkins-Scott and husband Chris Scott, grandson: Jacob Perkins Barajas, and great grandchildren: Jack, Julia, Gabriel and Gavyn.
Visitation is Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 6-8pm with funeral services Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 11am, both at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, Auburndale, FL. Burial to follow in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at 2pm.
