A long time resident of Polk County, Sarah worked for over 30 years as a nurse at Winter Haven Hospital. She was very involved in her church and loved to plant flowers, specifically orchids. She was also a bookworm that enjoyed reading her bible, sewing for her family, and was an amazing cook, making the best chicken and dumplings. She had the kind of smile that would light up a room.
Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, Tom W. Dean; granddaughter, Sarah Scott; as well as one brother, Roy Coleman.
Sarah is survived by her loving children, Paul Thomas (Alice), Jane Adler (Mike), Joey Thomas (Mary Jo), Bobbi Cockrell (Paul), Cindy Adamson (Buddy), and Sheila Stanton (David); as well as one brother, Bill Coleman; and 14 grandchildren, Frankie, Joey, Mary Jane, Eddie, Jonathan, Chris, Katrina, Eugena, Kristy, Nicholas, Rob, Kamie, Ryan, and Davon. Sarah also leaves many great and great-great grandchildren and other family and friends.
