It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stephen Del Bullock on October 16, 2025 at age 65 in Winter Haven, Florida after an extended hospital and rehabilitation stay following hip surgery. He had many health issues, but he battled to the end holding onto his strong faith in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We are rejoicing that he is dancing in Heaven and is completely healed!
Steve was born in St. Petersburg, Florida on December 27, 1959, and was a long-time resident of Winter Haven. He moved to Lake Wales in 2020.
Working as a commercial painter, Steve traveled to many parts of Florida. He developed a love for nature which grew into a lifelong hobby of gardening. Steve was well known for his proficiency in helping the most challenging plants thrive under his care. When he returned to his mother’s home in her later years, his kindergarten dreams of becoming a farmer came to fruition. Together, they raised chickens, and they tended to a very productive raised-bed vegetable garden. He took immense pride in making sure that the yard and landscaping were pristine and up to his father’s standards. That same attention to detail went with him wherever he went.
He is survived by his children, Dustin and Shannon Bullock, and their mother, Jodi McClanahan. Steve is also survived by his grandchildren, Tacoma, Sierra (Tooty), and Blayz; by his great-grandson, Tucker; and by his sister and brother-in-law, Beth and Ron Ford and their children Tori and Matthew. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Del and Janice Bullock.
The funeral service will be on Monday, October 27, at 11:30 AM at Crossroads Community Church (2583 Thornhill Road, Auburndale, Florida 33823). The family will welcome visitors prior to the service beginning at 11:00 AM.
