Steven Melton, 65, of Auburndale, Florida passed away on February 28, 2025. He was born in Bartow, Florida on January 16, 1970. Steven was an outdoorsman and of the Staffordshire Blood Line. He absolutely adored his children and grandchildren. He was a lifelong resident of Florida and a southern man to the core.
Steven was preceded in death by his father, Fred Melton, and his grandparents, George and Hazel Gangle. He is survived by his daughters: Shana Melton, Makenzee Melton, Alex Wallauer, and Jordan Suggs, a son, Brandon Shaffer, his mother, Rose Soule, grandchildren: Jana Wolford, Lawson Wolford, Adalana Wolford, Maddilyn Melton, Murphee Thomas, and his children’s mothers, Kimberly Melton and Deon Harper.
A visitation is being held on Thursday, March 6, from 10-11 am, with a service following at 11 am at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home at Glen Abbey in Auburndale, FL.
