Born in Springhill Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania she has been a resident of Florida since moving from Avon Lake, Ohio in 1989.
She served the 13th Congressional District of Ohio as a member of the Republican State Central & Executive Committee of Ohio. She served on this Committee beginning in 1970 and was the Committee’s Secretary when she retired in 1980. After moving to Florida, she became a Publix Associate in the bakery at the Winter Haven Legoland store, where she retired again after many years of service.
Mrs. Snyder was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Winter Haven.
Survivors include her daughter, Jill Silver (Mark) of Auburndale, FL; granddaughters Stephanie Foster (Joey) of Lakeland, FL and Kimberly Richards (Thomas) of Lakeland, FL; 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her 3 nieces, Karen Heath of Largo, FL and Kay & Fay Bissett both of Moundsville, WV and 1 nephew, Robert Ott of Clarksville, TN.
Mrs. Snyder was preceded in death by her husband, Lafe W. Snyder, who she was married to for 53 years before his death in 2001 and her son, Paul “Brad” Snyder in 2018.
A Memorial Service will be held June 13th at 11:00 AM in the chapel of St. John’s United Methodist Church.
