Wiley “Earl” Beverly, 94, passed away on August 24, 2026. He was born on January 5, 1932.

In his early years, Earl served this country in the Army/Air Force and the Navy. He spent most of his career driving for Wayne Glore Trucking (Defiance, Ohio), delivering parts that fed the assembly lines of Ford, GM and Chrysler. He took great pride in everything he did. His self-taught woodworking provided dozens of useful items he gifted to friends and family.

In his younger years, Earl was a little wild and crazy, always up for an adventure. But above all, he was known for his kindness, generosity, and compassion. Earl never met a friend he didn’t like, and he had a way of making everyone around him feel welcome.

Wilma was the love of his life, their bond was the center of his world for over three decades.

Earl is survived by his wife, Wilma Beverly; his sister, Erma Carlin; step-son Chad McCurdy (Lisa); step-daughter Tisha McCurdy; grandchildren Savannah McCurdy and Ella McCurdy; and great-grandchildren Clayton and Harper.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Grace Beverly; his brothers, Bill and Denver; and his sisters, Cathrine, Evelyn, Carolan, and Jeanne.

Earl will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
