Andy was born on January 19, 1951 in Augusta, GA, to George R. and Eloise (Andrews) Pearce. After graduating from Butler High School, Andy would eventually begin his life long career as an instrument repair technician at Brunkow's Music and Portman's Music where he enjoyed serving the young musicians in middle and high school bands until his retirement. Andy was a talented musician and was very active in the local live music scene for over 50 years. While he could play any type of music, beach music was one of his favorites. He was a member of countless local bands and enjoyed every minute of it. In his recent years, he has been active in praise and worship groups in Georgia and South Carolina churches. Having a lifelong passion for classic cars, Andy enjoyed showing off his 1963 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Spyder Turbo. He was also active with the CSRA Mustang club for many years. From a young age, Andy had a true love for animals, dogs and cats especially. One thing he took pride in was his yard work and if one of his neighbors needed help with any task, he was quick to volunteer. Anyone who met Andy loved him. He would literally give anyone the shirt off of his back if they were in need. He was quick to help any musicians who needed equipment, or a bass player to fill in. His loss will be felt for years to come, not only with his family, but anyone who knew him.
Andy is preceded in death by his parents George and Eloise Pearce. He leaves behind the love of his life Sharon Pearce; his daughter Stephanie Pittman (Ryan); grandchildren Rhett and Jackson Pittman.
