Arnold "Steve" J. Harden

Augusta, GA- Arnold “Steve” Harden, 79, entered into rest on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at home surrounded by his family. Steve achieved a Bachelor’s Degree and a MBA from Augusta State University. He was a retired SFC in the U.S. Army where served for twenty years. He was one of the original Army Rangers and Special Forces Soldiers.

Steve is survived by his wife, Rachel Janice Kitchens Harden; daughter, Janice “Jennie” Harden of Augusta; beloved dog, Zippy; Special friends, Kate and Kenneth Whitaker of Augusta, Deb and Les Peel of Waynesboro, and an adopted daughter, Lori Varner of Columbia, TN.

Funeral services will be 2:00p.m., Friday, April 23, 2010 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home Telfair Street Chapel. Interment will be in Westview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday, April 22, 2010 from 6:00p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
