Carol M. Zwemer

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Carol Moore Zwemer, 71, of Augusta, Georgia passed away Friday, December 14, 2012. Carol worked at Georgia Pacific for a number of years, Babcock-Wilcox and Medical College of Georgia. Later she worked as the Executive Secretary to the Dean of Allied Health Sciences at GHSU. Carol's love for cooking and bar-be-que extended to North Myrtle Beach as an owner and operator of a local restaurant. She was a longtime member in good standing of Alcoholics Anonymous for over 13 years. Carol thoroughly enjoyed traveling to Australia to visit family, working crossword puzzles and playing solitaire. She was also a longtime member of The Church of the Good Shepherd. Mrs. Zwemer is survived by her dedicated husband, Dr. Jack Zwemer; children, Judith (Dr. Cedric) Taylor, Lori (Larry) Stevens, Mark (Susie) Zwemer, Tim (Jenny) Zwemer, Joel Zwemer, Carol Brinsmead (Leon Johnson), Julie (Skip) Ashley, Frank (Sandi) Johnson and Michael Johnson; twenty grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Marian (Dr. Robert) Walters; several nieces and nephews; and numerous friends , including Harriett Benjamin, who will miss her dearly. Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM, Tuesday at The Church of the Good Shepherd with The Very Rev. Robert Fain officiating. The family will receive guests following the service in the church Parish Hall.
