We were so fortunate to enjoy the friendship and love of Carole and Otis. Our social times together are embedded in our memories forever. The Lord has called them home, where we hope to see them again someday.

Beautifully written... I feel blessed to have gotten to share so many wonderful, fun times with you all over the years and especially time with your mom and dad! Always fun, always full of adventure and laughs! How lucky I was! I knew if we were seeing them, something fun was going to happen! And your mom truly always made you feel welcome, heard and looked after. So many good times! She loved eating the garlic shrimp in Mexico ... we had fun chatting away, drinking beers and eating shrimp down there! That was such a crazy trip! They picked me up w my mom in a VW bug! A cooler loaded and off we went exploring neighborhoods in the Baja! We saw Karen Carpenters house... your dad almost made a trade right then and there! Your mom was always so beautiful and stylish... I know my mom loved shopping with her! And so many crazy times they all had playing cards... i could go on and on... these are such hard times in life losing such important people in life... makes me cry just thinking about it... but I think we can take comfort in the beautiful memories we can hold so close and to leave this life surrounded by those we love is all we can hope for... I can see the 3 of them in that VW bug now... just waiting for the day we arrive... sending you all lots of love...Kim

My deepest condolences to Kim, Kelly, Frank, Karen, Kristen and the entire Askin Family. I just heard the news and am so sorry for your loss. Both your Mom and Dad were so much fun and great to be around. To many memories to list here from the first time Carole came to our house forty plus years ago to spending time with both of them in Aruba just not that many years ago. Carole was always a shinning light of laughter and graciousness. She will be forever missed and remembered. I will be eternally grateful for all the fond memories she helped create between my family and yours, the open arms of hospitality, the dozens of trips shared, the fun, the laughter, the memories. Such sad news.
My heart goes out to the entire Askin Family for their loss.

I was fortunate to meet Carole and Otis through their lifelong good friends, the Ault's from IL. Traveling with the Ault's was fun, but being joined by Otis and Carole was a rare treat. We spent time in Mexico and also at their vacation homes in FL and SC. Exceptional hosts in every way. Carole truly gave her children a wonderful life and left a wonderful example of how to be a parent and friend. I know they both will be missed by all their family, but you have so many wonderful memories and can continue the story-telling tradition. I send my sympathies to each of you.
