Charles E. Blackwell

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Charles Charlie Blackwell, 84, of Augusta entered into rest Tuesday, February 12, 2013. He was an avid Racing Fan and thoroughly enjoyed watching races relaxing with a cigar. Mr. Blackwell was a Jump Master in the 82nd Air Borne and retired as a Sergeant Major from the United States Army. Charlie was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lillianne Blackwell; grandson, Patrick Blackwell; and his precious Chihuahua, Ginger, who gave him with unconditional love and companionship for 15 years. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Lindal a (Gary L.) Harvell and Shari (Randal) Blackwell-Jordan; 2 sons, Ren (Dana) Blackwell and Charles M. (Debbie) Blackwell; 7 grandchildren, Kimberly, Kayla and Melissa Blackwell, Jessica and Samantha Jordan, Alexander K szegi, and William Blackwell; and several great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 3 PM, Saturday, February 16, 2013 in the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association , P. O. Box 15923, Augusta, Georgia 30919.
