Charles Lee "Chuck" Mashburn

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 3:30 p.m. at Cliffwood Presbyterian Church with Rev. Geoff Gleason officiating. Burial will be in the Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be observed. The family will receive friends on Tuesday before the service from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Elliott Sons Funeral Home Lumpkin Rd.

Mr. Mashburn was born in Merkle, Texas on October 27, 1939. He was a Viet Nam Veteran of the U.S. Navy having retired with 20 years of service. Following Navy retirement he served with a smile in the Civil Service (Ft. Gordon), Plant Vogle, Westside High School Navy ROTC instructor, Sears repairman, Safe Company (Waynesboro), Martina’s Flowers & Gifts delivery, Ft. Discovery exhibit maintenance. He was a Deacon & Elder of Cliffwood Presbyterian Church, and as his occupation and recreation he was a square dance caller for 38 years.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Ellen Mashburn, son, David Wayne Mashburn, Texas; daughters, Cree Ann Martin (Daniel), Fabrina Tiner (Lee), both of Augusta; Grandsons, Timothy Mashburn, Douglas Martin, James Martin, Steven Tiner, all of Augusta, granddaughters, Liane Tiner, Charley Tiner, Augusta; brother, Ernie Mashurn (Sharon), Scurry, Texas; Nieces, Sidra Carzola, Wylie, Texas; Allison Green, Pflugerville, Texas; nephew, Donovan Kennedy, Leander, Texas.
