Cindy Joyner

Born on January 21, 1957, Cindy lived a life filled with love, compassion, honesty, and devotion to her family. She was one of the most caring and genuine people you could ever meet. Cindy always spoke her mind, stood strong in what she believed, and had a heart of gold. Her kindness, warmth, and love touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Cindy retired from Sconyers Bar-B-Que, where she worked faithfully for many years. She took pride in her work and made many lasting memories and friendships throughout her years there.

Cindy’s greatest joy in life was her family. She is survived by her loving husband, James Joyner; her daughters, Heather Joyner and Hope McGowen; her beloved grandchildren, Adrianna McGowen and Camron McGowen; her sister, Kathy Brown; her brother, Gary Mullis; her aunt, Maureen Mullis; her uncle, Ronnie Mullis; her niece, Teresa Lively, who was like a daughter to her; her nephew, Marvin Lively; and many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosemary Mullis and Lance Mullis; and her sisters, Linda Lively and Patsy Harrod.

Cindy will always be remembered for the love she gave so freely, the compassion she showed to others, and the way she made people feel cared for. She had a beautiful spirit, a giving heart, and a way of making a lasting impact on everyone around her.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing that Cindy is at peace and that the love she shared will continue to live on through her family. Her memory will forever remain a blessing, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family would like to thank everyone for the prayers, love, and support shown during this difficult time. Cindy’s legacy of kindness, strength, and unconditional love will remain forever in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
