

Colette is survived by her children, Marcia Gagnon Doris (Bernard) and Scott John Gagnon (Sarah); her siblings, Maurice Cyr (Carol), Elaine Cyr (Chris), Janice Cyr (Allen Halvorsen), Bob Bois (Carol), Mike Bois (Mayme) and Sandy Dwyer (Hugh); her grandchildren, Lindsey Doris Mueller (Marco), Elizabeth Doris Monahan (John), Scott John Gagnon Jr., Eaton Alexander Gagnon, Lillian Margaret Gagnon and April Rain Gagnon; her great grandchildren, Marco Phinizy Mueller and Elizabeth Hamilton Mueller.
Colette was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Placide Emillian Gagnon Jr.; and her parents John Noel Cyr and Germaine Cyr Bois.
Colette was known for compassion for others and how independent and ambitious she was. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church for 50 years, where she was a Catholic Women's Council member and active in the Ultreya Cursillo Movement. She attended Brunswick High school class of 1964 and latter Business school. She enjoyed volunteering to care for the homeless, attending bible study, book clubs and bunco. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, cooking and doing puzzles. Her family and church held a dear place in her heart. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed deeply, but her memory will be treasured forever.
A celebration of life for Colette will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 10 a.m. at St. Peters Catholic Church in Deland, Florida.
