

He was a lifelong resident of Augusta, Georgia, and was a graduate of Richmond Academy. Curtis was a US Navy Veteran and retired from Georgia Iron Works.
He was known for his honesty, integrity, sincerity, willingness to lend a hand, and for being a gentleman. He was always ready to see a good NASCAR race.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sterling and Ruth Epps. Surviving family members
include son, Curtis Austin Epps, Jr. (Angela) of Ormond Beach, Florida; son, Brian Keith Epps (Amy) of Augusta; daughter, Christi Adele Fleming (Joel) of Richmond Hill; he was “Papa” to Zachary, Leigh, Eliza, Jack, Megan and Trent; siblings, Barbara Epps, Wayne Epps (Merry); Cathy Kitchens (James); and Carol Pitts (Neal). He was brother-in-law to Nina Creech (Mollie) and Paula Lever (Marvin).
Funeral services will be held at 11AM Saturday, August 25, 2012, Hillcrest Baptist Church with the Rev. Bryan Cockrell officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Tommy Story, Joel Fleming, Eric Lever, Matthew Lever, Nathan Lever and Greg Lever. After the interment, the family will receive friends at Hillcrest Baptist Church.
