Edmond “The Lurch” Kida, 58, of Augusta passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015 at his home. The Lurch’s passion for music began as a young boy and grew into solo and group performances with local bands in the Augusta area over many years. He was proud to be one of a few left handed guitarists in the area. He was a humble, happy and loving man who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Edmond is survived by his wife, Stacy Kida; four children, Matt, Holly, Annissa and Taylor Kida; one sister, Peggy Lovejoy; two brothers, David (Ann) Quandt and John (Gladys) Kida; numerous nieces and nephews; and many, many friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2 PM, Saturday, November 7, 2015 in the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. In recognition of The Lurch’s laid back spirit, please dress casually. Tie-dye and Hawaiian attire are preferred.
